The National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS) will be hosting a video seminar Wednesday, March 3, at 2:00 p.m. in the Carpeted Dining Room of the Wood Campus Center.

The video seminar was originally going to feature Dr. Bertice Berry. However, she was forced to cancel due to a family emergency.

The NSLS has chosen Dion Jordan to replace her.

"While it is intended for the members of the NSLS, everyone is welcome to come and watch," said Jamey Campbell, coordinator for student activities.

Dion Jordan Enterprise's goal is to help individuals reach and maintain the goals they set for themselves.

All of Jordan's presentations provide participants with a step-by-step course of action to generate results in the lives of the participants.

This is the third in a series of video presentations given by the NSLS to help its members develop leadership skills.

These video seminars are part of an induction process that is meant to be completed in one semester.

(Students may, however, take as long as they need to complete the requirements.)

The hopeful inductees are required to attend video seminars and leadership training, as well as participate in success networking teams here on campus, and to participate in an orientation.

Invitations for the organization are mailed to all students who have a cumulative grade point average of 2.74 or higher.

If a student's GPA is not up to standard, he or she can obtain a letter of recommendation from a faculty member.

Invitations are mailed in both the spring and fall semesters, but there is only one induction ceremony each year.

The ceremony is generally in April.

It is at this time that all candidates who have completed the requirements are granted full membership.

Since June 2005, there have been over 500 members to pass through Vol State.

"NSLS has been a great investment of my college career.

As a student, the society helps me network with other individuals, and establish relationships with new people.
