The Student Government Association (SGA) forum will be Monday, March 29, at 12:30 p.m., in the cafeteria of the Wood Campus Center.
The SGA Forum is a chance for Volunteer State Community College's student body to come together to ask questions and share opinions with its leaders.
"It's the students' opportunity to be able to talk to the faculty and staff about concerns they have," said Maytee Vinces, president of SGA.
"It gives the student body immediate access to be able to ask questions of the college administration, and get answers on the spot," said Jamey Campbell, coordinator of student activities.
In past forums, the issue of a more environmentally friendly campus has been brought up by the student body.
After the voicing of these opinions, changes were made around the campus in an effort to become environmentally conscious.
"It's a great opportunity for access, to help understand and hear explanations about the decisions that have been made, or trends that may be coming," Campbell explained.
"It'd be good for them (the student body) to attend," said Vinces.
The students who cannot attend the forum also have an opportunity to be heard.
Vinces encouraged these students to use the SGA suggestion box, located in front of the Student Club Center, across from the cafeteria in the Wood Campus Center.
