March 1, at 12:15 p.m., in the Wemyss Auditorium, Michael Eric Dyson will give his re-scheduled presentation, "Obama: One Year Later."
March 2, from 10 am to 3 pm., Carpeted dining Room of the wood Campus Center, The American Red Cross will be hosting a blood drive. Walk-ins are welcome, or to schedule an appointment, visit www.redcrossblood.org and enter "volstate" as the sponsor code.
The employee Relations Committee will be hosting a Chili/Soup for Books Cook-off on March 4th, from 11:30am to 1:30 pm. in the carpeted Dining Room of the Wood Campus Center. Proceeds will benefit the book scholarship fund. for more information contact Karen Waller at extension 3507.
March 6, from 10 am to 2 pm, in the Wood Campus Center Room 116, free financial aid help willbe offered. Students may receive assistance with FAFSA. for more information, students may call 230-3456
March 23, from 3-5 pm in the Rochell Center of the Thigpen Library ,there will be a seminar to give basic information about a range of estate planning issues. Advance reservations are required by March 17 The cost is $30.00
March 24 to 25, the Campus and Cultural Activities Committee will host a Pecha Kucha event. this is an opportunity for students to express themselves with a Powerpoint presentation on a topic of their choosing. To participate, or for more information, email ken.lovett@volstate.edu
