Valentine's Day is the day of love; or as friend of mine would call it, singles awareness day.

I had the pleasure of seeing the new movie "Valentine's Day" Friday night.

With an all-star cast of actors such as Ashton Kutcher, Jennifer Garner, Jamie Foxx, Bradley Cooper, Anne Hathaway, and Jessica Alba, this movie sounded promising from the get go.

The movie of course takes place on Valentine's Day and tells the perils that a circle of friends face on this day of love; or the most dreadful day on the planet for some.

Everyone can find a character to relate to in this movie. There is the guy-girl best friend combo who really secretly like each other, the single's, the cheaters, young love couples who are waiting for that one special moment, and the high school sweethearts that have been together forever, literally.

Some people could use this movie to look at things they shouldn't do on Valentine's Day.

Guys don't wait until the last minute to buy your girlfriend flowers. And don't buy her a giant teddy bear that she can drag around all day.

And girls, if you are alone on Valentine's Day get together with your other single friends and throw a party like Jessica Biel.

dont forget the candy, hats and of course a heart shaped pinata.

Now I'm going to switch gears and talk about our own Taylor Swift. After seeing her in this movie, all I have to say is thank you, Taylor. You make Tennessee proud.

When I first saw previews for the movie, I thought it was going to be a mush-fest and depressing when in fact, it was just the opposite.

It was funny and the complete opposite of mushy.

Overall, I would say wait and rent it when it comes out on DVD, but for Valentines weekend it was perfect.
