Daniels has always loved the Spanish language and its culture, but growing up she didn't want to be a Spanish teacher.
In fact, she was attending undergrad school to become a dentist and she minored in Spanish. Daniels said she decided to become a Spanish teacher while taking Biology at the University Of Tennessee Knoxville.
In 2003, Daniels completed her undergrad at the UT, earning her Bachelor of Science in Human Services and Spanish. Then in 2005 she earned her masters degree at the University of Georgia.
Daniels, who has not only taught on the college level but the high school level as well, says she enjoys teaching on the college level more because she has time to focus on her students.
Daniels is keeping very busy during this time in her life. She is pursuing her doctorate degree at Trevecca. But when she has spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoys reading.
While being a teacher can be very time consuming, balancing her job and home life isn't an issue. "I'm a pretty organized person," she said.
Mrs. Daniels really enjoys teaching at Vol State and also seems to be loved by her students.
"She's a really good teacher and makes Spanish easy," said student Tylar Peoples.
