If any of you watched the MTV Video Music Awards on Sept. 13, or got online at all last week, you may have seen Kanye West's outrageous outburst against Female Video of the Year winner Taylor Swift.
If you didn't see it because you have been in a closet for the past week, West jumped on stage during Swift's acceptance speech for her song "You Belong with Me", grabbed the microphone and said, "Yo Taylor, I'm really happy for you, [I'm going to] let you finish, but Beyoncé had one of the best videos of all time!"
As the fans booed, Swift seemed to be in disbelief over what just happened, and stood speechless.
Beyoncé, who was seated nearby in the audience, also seemed shocked by the outburst.
According to an MTV News report, another artist, Pink "had to be escorted away from the rapper by security."
MTV News also reported that "West was asked to leave Radio City Music Hall not long after he crashed the MTV Video Music Awards stage."
During the VMAs Kanye seemed to get booed whenever mentioned.
P Diddy was talking about the nominees for Best Male Video and got booed for mentioning West. The boos were followed by chants of "Taylor! Taylor! Taylor!," from the audience.
This incident is not West's first outrage at an award show or toward a country music artist.
In 2004, West raged out of the American Music Awards when he lost the Best New Artist category to Gretchen Wilson.
West, I am sure, felt like a fool as Beyoncé was announced as the winner of the Video of the Year award.
"I remember being 17 years old up for my first MTV award with Destiny's Child, and it was one of the most exciting moments in my life," said Beyoncé as she accepted the award.
"I would like for Taylor to come out and have her moment. Where are you?," asked Beyoncé.
Swift got on stage, received a standing ovation from the audience and said, "Maybe we can try this again?"
Swift continued to thank her director, her co-star and her fans.
