Summer is right around the corner which means it is time for some people to travel.
If you are looking for a cheap summer vacation, the Smoky Mountains is a good place to visit.
There are many places you can enjoy outdoors. You can go white water rafting for $35-$40 a person. One great place to go rafting is Big Creek Expeditions. You can take a tour of the Smokies on the Pigeon River. Big Creek Expeditions offers two different rafting tours for any age and any skill level.
Another outdoor attraction is Dollywood theme park. The park has thrill rides such as roller coasters, water rides and a water park. You can experience Dollywood for $53.50 a person.
The Ripley's Aquarium is a must if you love the marine life. It is only $22.29 per person.
You might also try Camp Thunder, a family fun center. They offer indoor go carts, indoor mini golf, and The Rock Motion Ride for $24.99 a person.
If you plan on staying over night, you will need a place to stay. There are some resorts and hotels that have some fun attractions as well.
The Holiday Inn Pigeon Forge has an indoor pool with a waterfall. It also offers an indoor recreation area with video games. Rates start at $64 a night.
