Today at 12:15 p.m., Volunteer State Community College will be hosting the ThinkFast game show in the cafeteria.
Think Fast is a yearly event on campus in which students compete in a trivia-based game for the grand prize of $200.
"It is similar to Jeopardy and Trivial Pursuit," said Dr. Monique Wright, director of student life and diversity initiatives.
"[Students] don't have to sign up, they just show up," said Gina Garera, coordinator of student life. "The only thing they need is their student I.D."
According to its website, ThinkFast is "built around the concept of team effort," and "utilizes the Fleetwood Wireless Keypad, MTV-style staging, professional sound, intelligent lighting, and incorporates as many teams as you require."
"It usually has a pop theme, but you can have it customized as we did," said Wright.
Garera also explained that this year's theme would be politics because of the importance that the upcoming election will have on people.
"This is one of the most important elections of our lifetime," she said. There will be in between two to four people on a team depending on attendance.
"In the past it has been one of our most attended events," noted Garera.
The website stated "ThinkFast is so popular with colleges nationwide that it has won the 'Novelty Event of the Year' award for 10 years running through Cameo Magazines, Reader's Choice Entertainment Award, in addition to various other awards and nominations."
The event is sponsored by the Student Government Association, the Administration of Campus Events and the Office of Student Life and Diversity Initiatives.
"I stress the importance of voting. The SGA will be doing voting registration during the event," said Garera.

"It's a way to learn without sitting in a classroom," added Garera.
