Volunteer State Community College's Pioneer basketball teams will be having their Homecoming games on Nov. 9 in the T. Wesley Pickel Field House.

The women's game is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. and the men's game at 8:30 p.m.

The theme for this year's Homecoming is "Lights, Camera, Action, Hollywood."

Free items such as key chains, cups and t-shirts will be given away.

The Pioneer Dance Team is scheduled to make their debut.

The event is free and there will also be a photo station where attendees are welcome to have their picture taken in front of a Hollywood backdrop.

Gina Garera, coordinator of student activities, said The Student Government Association and the Association of Campus Events decided to schedule Homecoming early to try to get more student involvement.

"Last year the crowd was estimated to be at least 150 people," stated Garera. "As of venders, we do not have any, we are trying to look in to the army as a possible vender."

According to Men's Basketball Head Coach, Rusty Melvin, Motlow State Community College will be a challenge.

"They are national champs," said Melvin.

"We are well prepared for the game," said Bobby Hudson, athletic director. "We encourage students to come."
