According to the Volunteer State Community College Clubs and Organizations pamphlet, the commercial music ensemble is a gathering of musicians.
Saturday, the commercial music ensemble performed at Gallatin's October Fest.
Assistant Professor of Music, Lynn Peterson, advises the ensemble.
When asked what types of music the ensemble plays, Peterson said it is different every semester.
"They will do anything from Broadway, eastern jazz, modern country or rock," stated Peterson.
"We are pretty prepared," stated student Justin Medica, a drummer for the ensemble.
Bass player J.T Kempen, said that there are many songs to choose from.
"It's hard to limit myself to just one favorite song," said Kempen. "That just doesn't appeal to me. I guess I have the most fun playing Santana, All Along the Watch Tower, The Weight and This One Goes out to the One I Love."
The commercial music ensemble includes a saxophone player, two guitarists, a pianist and a percussionist.
Student Jimmy Sudekum has played the piano for five years.
The ensemble will have many other performances throughout the semester and record a track for the music department's Christmas album.
