Registration is now open for summer classes, including Maymester. This allows students to take a class that normally takes an entire semester in under a month. The classes meet for three hours or more every day for five days a week. There will be 23 classes offered this Maymester, including Astronomy, Health Assessment and the Astronomy lab. There are several different ways to take courses this summer. "It is a chance for students to get ahead," said Eric Melcher, coordinator of communication and public relations. It is also good if students need a few extra hours to further advance students' college career.

The first half of the show featured the Vol State Showstoppers and the second half featured solo acts and singers. The Vol State Commercial Music Ensemble was on hand for most of the event and played backup for a large part of the show.
