In late June, TSU student DeAngelo White died in a Detroit, hospital. He was involved in a motorcycle accident in his hometown of Detroit.

White was a freshman and a member of the university's Collegiate 100 Black Men chapter.

APSU, in collaboration with the Clarksville Transit System, will provide students with on-campus trolley transportation and access to the city bus system for the 2008-2009 school year.

The contract between APSU and CTS, finalized in July 2008, provides unlimited city bus access and on-campus transportation.

For freshmen Malcolm Kimes, TSU's welcoming week proved to be a great start to his college career.

Kimes, a marketing major from Harvey, Ill., went on a college tour and admitted when he visited TSU, it seemed like it was where he should be.

"The atmosphere was great and it just seemed right," Kimes said.
